In a historic gathering at Obile Community Primary School in Ohaji/Egbema local Government Area, the esteemed paramount traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Eze Abyssinia Colobus Ogbuji (Ojimaduzoku XXI of Obile Autonomous Community), alongside other critical stakeholders, witnessed the official oath-taking ceremony of the new town union executives. The occasion marked a pivotal moment for the community as it embarked on a journey towards progress and unity.
Addressing the gathering, Eze Abyssinia Colobus Ogbuji expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by the community. He highlighted Obile Community’s rich heritage and abundant natural resources, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to drive development. Reminding the newly inaugurated executives of the transient nature of power, he urged them to seize the opportunity to rewrite the community’s narrative positively.
The inauguration saw Mr. Obido Ndubuise assume the role of President General, with Mr. Ikeokwu Nwulu as Vice President, and Mr. Igwe Casmir Abi as Secretary General, among others. In his acceptance speech, Mr. Ndubuise expressed excitement and gratitude for the community’s trust in their leadership. He extended appreciation to Eze Abyssinia Colobus Ogbuji for his unwavering support and commitment to the community’s welfare.
Acknowledging the contributions of Governor Hope Uzodinma and Managing Director Charles Orie towards maintaining peace and fostering development, Mr. Ndubuise pledged to collaborate closely with all stakeholders. He emphasized the importance of upholding peace and security, vowing to prioritize these aspects during his tenure.
In an exclusive interview, newly inaugurated youth leader, Mr. Amadi Victor Kelvin, hailed the caliber of leaders elected and envisioned a brighter future for youth development in Obile Community. Drawing from his previous experience, Mr. Kelvin pledged to work hand in hand with the President General and traditional ruler to foster peace among the youth.
As Obile Community embarks on this new chapter, the inauguration of the town union executives symbolizes hope and determination to build a prosperous and harmonious community.
