A democrat, responsible and concerned Imo citizen, Dr Onumo Harold Wilson, says Imo Charter of Equity permits Okigwe and Owerri Senatorial Zones to produce governor beyond 2027.
He stated this in an interview during the 60th birthday celebration of Prince Charles Amadi’s wife which was held at their home in Ikeduru last week.
The Ihitte-Uboma born politician who is the Chief Executive Officer of Satellite Medical Centre – Harold Pharmacy and Stores, Owerri, pointed out that Owerri and Okigwe Zones have been marginalized in terms of Governorship Position in the state by Orlu Zone which he said has no business going to governorship again.
Onumo who affirmed that “the Imo Charter of Equity permits Okigwe and Owerri Zones to be governor in 2027 and beyond”, reiterated that the “two geopolitical zones are being marginalized in terms of Governorship Position. I totally agree on the Charter of Equity as long as it accommodates Okigwe and Owerri Zones”.
However, he wished the celebrant well and prayed that God grants her more years ahead to fully enjoy the fruit of her labour, assessing the birthday celebration as one of the largest he has ever attended in recent time in the state.
