Wherever the names, Dr. Cliff Ogbede, Hon Mark Okoye and Amb. David Anyanwu are mentioned with regards to SEDC , one thing that comes to mind is ”oh they are the required round pegs in for the round holes and these quintessential sons of Igbo land, actually proved their mettle during the just concluded South East Vision 2050 National Conference held at Enugu International Conference Center , as the Imo LGA SEDA coordinators and participants were beautifully coordinated by the state Ambassadorial Director General, Hon.David Anyanwu.
It became so obvious that the decision to appoint Hon, Amb David Anyanwu came from men that have the same progressive qualities as I politely request to mention the South East Development Commission Managing Director, Hon. Mark Okoye and the South East Development Commission( SEDC) Executive Director, Natural Resources, Agricultural & Rural Development ,Dr Cliff Ogbede whom the Imo SEDA coordinators will always show their gratitude for motivating them with the highest ideals of love.
If we may recall , the major targets by the South East Vision 2050, is to securely industrialize the region with legacy projects, and make it economically self sufficient. The bitter truth remains that this vision may look rhetorical and very impossible if we do not have trustworthy personalities like Hon. Mark Okoye and Dr. Cliff who have the wills to engrave themselves as reference templates, the admistrative acumen and the coordinating ability for the anticipated collaboration that can bring the South Eastern states into one page.
Therefore We, the good people of Orlu LGA, resolved to affirm our unalloyed commitment to SEDC vision 2050 and also wish to humbly reiterate that through the Orlu LGA Coordinator, Amb, Journalist Hamilton Onuchukwu and his well structured LGA Executive Members, Ward Executives, and Community Liaison Officers (CLOs), the leaders State shall witness an effective community engagement, from Orlu LGA, needs assessment, project monitoring, and inclusive participation in the whole development initiatives.
