In a major political event today in Owerri, Imo State, the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC), led by Hon. Charles Ejiogu, has officially declared the results of the local government elections held on September 21, 2024.
During a press briefing at the ISIEC Secretariat on Owerri/Orlu Road, Hon. Ejiogu confirmed a complete sweep by the All Progressives Congress (APC), whose candidates emerged victorious across all 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 305 electoral wards in the state.
Ejiogu announced, “All candidates of the APC have been duly elected as Councilors and Executive Council Chairmen, marking an extraordinary triumph for the party in Imo State.”
Below is the list of newly elected Executive Council Chairmen across the 27 LGAs:
