…Appoints 35 Constituents As Special Advisers, 10 As Wards Liaison Officers
In his bid to ensure that the people in the grassroots feel the positive impacts of his representation, member who represents Onuimo State Constituency at the Imo State House Of Assembly, Hon. Chief Uba James Esile, has inaugurated about thirty five constituents as his Special Advisers with additional ten persons drawn from each of the ten Electoral Wards of Onuimo LGA, as their respective Wards Liaison Officers.
The event which took place on Wednesday at the Imo State House of Assembly Complex, Owerri Conference Hall, saw the selected constituents presented with Appointment Letters by the Lawmaker who were charged with the mandate to render effective services to the constituency, serve as the Lawmaker’s point of contact in the various communities, towns and wards of the LGA, feel the pulse of the masses regarding what they need and always bring feedback to him.
Presenting Appointment Letters to the appointees, Esile stated that the essence of the appointment was geared to lift the people financially, as well as to foster peace and unity in Onuimo State Constituency.
He reminded the constituents that the appointment was part of his campaign promises to run an open door policy and offer grassroot approach of fair and all- embracing representation, stressing that such a positive step would enable the people to bring back feelers to him without constraints and also feel his presence without him always being necessarily physically present at all times.
According to Esile, “this is a means to as well appreciate and reward the hard work of all those who played various essential roles over the years, in various capacities to see to his emergence as a lawmaker and guber victory of APC in Onuimo LGA at the recently concluded governorship election”.
Esile who is the President and Founder of Fresh Air Movement Imo State, reechoed the fact that he did not seek elective office to accumulate wealth. “But rather to ensure that the masses are uplifted and democracy dividends which they deserve always get to them”, assuring the appointees of incentives from his monthly salary and as well disclosed plans to engage more people in the next batch.
The Lawmaker told them not to abuse the privilege, but to be appreciative of it and see it as a call to service, encouraging them to continue to support the Shared Prosperity Administration championed by Governor Hope Uzodimma, who he said means well for the people of Onuimo LGA.
Thus, the inauguration ceremony attracted the presence of dignitaries from Onuimo LGA who were Hon. High Chief Charles Ijezie JP (Immediate past sole administrator of Onuimo LGA), Lolo Nkiru Olivia (Onuimo South Development Center Coordinator), HRH Eze C. N Eze- Akaraugo 1 of Ndikpa Aboh (Chairman Onuimo Council of Traditional Rulers), Hon. Anthony Ijezie (Secretary of Onuimo APC), Captain Eugene Kelechi Ibegbu (APC leader, Ezelu Okwe Ward), Hon Comrade Kenneth Okpara (Okwe President General) and some other President Generals of other communities in Onuimo.
The dignitaries who took turns to speak, eulogized Hon. Uba James Esile for his tremendous and landmark efforts so far upon his assumption into office. They described Esile as a pace setter who has completely changed the old ugly narratives by doing things differently for the good of Onuimo.
