At last, Kyrian Onyeji Ndikom retains TPM seat, As Ikpamezie returns peace In Obi-Mbieri Community

The crisis rocking Obi-Mbieri Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State seemed to have ended as Chief Kyrian Onyeji Ndikom has retained his seat as the Traditional Prime Minister of the Community.

Meanwhile, by the virtue of Obi-Mbieri Autonomous Community, Chief Kyrian Onyeji Ndikom is currently acting for the traditional ruler of the Community, HRH Eze Josiah Osuji who is critically sick and currently receiving medical attention in an overseas hospital.

Recall that crisis ignited in Obi-Mbieri Community following the ailment of Eze Osuji few years back for which some “‘Prodigal boys” took the advantage of the Monarch’s incapacitation and injected crisis into the Community.

This Newspaper gathered that Chief Kyrian Onyeji Ndikom,an Academia and a man of integrity was appointed the TPM by Eze Osuji to hold swear for him as he embarked on medical trip in oversea.

It was further observed that One Mr. Uzoma Ekeanyanwu and Mr. Martin Onyeugo have been parading themselves as TPM and PG of Obi-Mbieri respectively whereas Chief Kyrian Onyeji Ndikom was issued Certificate of Recognition as the authentic Traditional Prime Minister of the Community by Eze Osuji.

Interestingly,the Member representing Mbaitoli State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Innocent Ikpamezie on Monday 1st April, 2024 through his oversight functions stormed Orie Obi-Mbieri where he addressed critical Stakeholders, Women and Youths of the six villages of Obi-Mbieri and later inaugurated a 7-man Electoral Committee that will conduct Obi-Mbieri Town Union Executive Elections within the next two months.

Hon. Ikpamezie narrated that he got knowledge of the crisis rocking Obi-Mbieri through an official letter addressed to him by the leadership of the Community for which he invited the warring factions to his office in the State House of Assembly Owerri on 2nd February,2024 and later promised to visit the community in order to ensure lasting peace.

The Imo Lawmaker joined the Obi-Mbieri people to reaffirm confidence in Chief Kyrian Onyeji Ndikom as the Traditional Prime Minister, TPM of the Community insisting that he will continue to maintain impartial posture in ensuring lasting peace in Obi-Mbieri and Mbaitoli at large.

He further urged Leaders of Obi-Mbieri Community to withdraw all the pending court cases so as to give peace chance for rapid development in their Community.

Addressing the Electoral Committee members drawn from the six villages of Obi-Mbieri; Obokwu, Ebom, Umuagwu, Ohaohia, Umuduru and Umuahi, Hon. Ikpamezie challenged them not to take side while discharging their duties.

Earlier, the Lawmaker acknowledged a letter written to him by Eze Osuji postponing his visit to Obi-Mbieri to sometime next month,but however insisted that the letter arrived his office behind his schedules.

He pledged his loyalty to the traditional ruler promising to visit his palace immediately he(Eze Osuji)arrived Nigeria.

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of Obi-Mbieri Town Union Electoral Committee, Mr. Samuel Nwaigbo expressed happiness over the peace movement initiated by Hon. Innocent Ikpamezie promising that his committee will leave no stone unturned in ensuring free, fair and credible President-General Election.

While, the Chairman of Obi-Mbieri Reconciliation Committee, Chief Jeto Nwadi disclosed that his committee has done a tremendous work by bringing together all the warring factions and therein reviewed all the avalanches of their constitutions and possibly streamlined them for the lasting peace of Obi-Mbieri Community.

Responding, the TPM of Obi-Mbieri Community,Chief Kyrian Onyeji Ndikom thanked his people for reaffirming confidence in him and promised not to disappoint them as well as working in harmony with the Traditional Ruler, HRH Eze Josiah Osuji as his Royal Father.

TPM Ndikom, further dole out (6) Six million Naira for onward development of the Community.
