A socio cultural group known as Imo elite in diaspora have awarded Prince Sochima Ozumba as Ambassador Peace.
The colourful event which took place on Sunday 5th May 2024 was witnessed by youth leaders, dignitaries across the 27 local government area of imo state.
The national president Imo elite in diaspora chief Nnamdi Nwaofor while conferring the award described Prince Sochima Ozumba as a vibrant youth with positive antecedent adding that he remains a spotlight and a role model for youths in state.
According to him, Prince Sochima Ozumba has distinguished himself among equals, showcasing leadership qualities and ensuring a peaceful co- existence in the neighborhood, therefore having confirmed these sterling qualities in him the entire members of Imo elite lite in diaspora nominated and approved him to be awarded as an Ambassador of Peace to further support and encourage him as the emerging leader of New Owerri Youth Organisation. (NOYO).
In his response, Prince Sochima Ozumba described the award as a true honour adding that it came at a time when he is contesting an election to be the president of New Owerri Youth Organisation(NOYO) and by the grace of God I believe my team will emerge, he said.
” I dedicate this award to all the New Owerri Youth Organisation NOYO and my amiable father Prince Ford Ozumba who has inspired,mentored and guided me through the journey of politics.
I have philosophy that says to be a powerful leader is not by acting powerful or being autocratic, core leadership is been shown by how many people you have empowered and I have intensions of empowering the youths, with expanded executive government where many youths will be carried along, my job is to discover the potentials of our youths and train them according.
We also look forward to partner with private companies and organization, more especially the government of imo state able led by His Excellency Sen. Hope Uzodinma who has provided a level playing ground for us through his numerous youth oriented programmes.
