International Association Of World Peace Advocate ( IAWPA) , on Tuesday , presented an award to governor Hope Uzodinma and other Imo citizens for their numerous roles in human development .
Speaking in Owerri during the event, the international spoke person Amb Emmanuel Nkewuike said , that the program was endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly to encourage peace and sustainable development, unity, social justice and harmony. He added that the global organization was created to ensure that peace strives in all sectors of human endeavors across the member states of the United Nations .

Also speaking, IAWPA Imo State Director, Captain Kelvin Nwokoro , said that IAWPA projects peace to the nation and the world . He noted that the awardees were selected based on the roles they have played in their respective society. He urged youths , Imo citizens and Nigerians to uphold peace.
Dr Ozo Fednand Anikwe , the guest lecturer, during his lecture posited that hunger and hardship gingered all kinds of discontraditions , he maintained that agricultural practices should be introduced.
Commending the program, HRH Amb Peter Asonye ( Eze ndi Igbo , Lagos State) , Commended the organization for their humanitarian services and for investing in human development.
The event was graced by dignitaries within and outside the State.
