The President General of Obazu Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli LGA, Town planner Iheanyi Abaekwume, has described Hon. Justice Adaego Peace Nosiri as an asset to Imo state and the Nigeria’s Judicial system, expressing optimism that she will utilize her wealth of knowledge to rebranding the Judiciary in the country.
Abaekwume said her elevation to the higher bench was by a dint of hardwork and expertise so far exhibited in the course of her practice and dispensation of judgment as an erudite lawyer.
The popular PG spoke at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state, on Sunday, during the Thanksgiving service of the Justice Adaego Nosiri on her recent elevation to a Judge.
He further described Justice Adaego Nosiri as a vibrant legal practitioner who has carved a niche for herself in the law profession and defended the defenseless.
He did not mince words in describing Justice Adaego as a thoroughbred daughter of the soil who has been out to make her community proud, advising other women and lawyers to borrow a leave from her meekness, humility and sense of judgement which, he said, had brought her thus far.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection on Justice Adaego Peace Nosiri and her family, pledging the continued support of Abazu people anytime, anyday.
Concluding, he said, “I want to urge her to continue to remain steadfast in her duties and reference God in the dispensation of judgment. I am very much convinced that she get to the highest peak of the law to becoming a Supreme Court Justice and utilize her wealth of knowledge in rebranding the Nigeria’s Judicial system.
Justice Adaego was recently elevated to Imo High Court Judge alongside other Justices and sworn in by the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
In an interview with the mother, Lady Adeline Nosiri, she expressed happiness on her elevation, adding that it was a thing of joy and thanksgiving to God.
She described her daughter as a destiny child who proved her readiness to achieve her dreams early enough.
“It is the Lord’s doing. God promised us that He will grant her success in her career, and today, that dream has come to be. I wish my husband, her father was alive to witness this. I return all glory to God who saw her through in her chosen profession.”
Engineer Chinonso Nosiri, a younger and only brother to the Justice, while speaking with journalists described her sister in superlative terms, adding that she had been very supportive to the entire family even when their father was still alive.
He said, “I am very happy for my sister’s elevation to a Judge. It’s a dream come true for the family. We cannot thank God enough because He has been very marvelous to us all.
“I am an engineer by profession and the only son of the family. My sister is more like our eyes and confidant in the family since our father died. May his soul rest in peace. My father used to address her as ‘My Lord!’ whenever he wanted to talk to her. I wish he lived to see a day like this, but I know he is very excited wherever he is right now that what he ever wished her daughter has come to be.
“While we were in the church during the service, I happily sent a text to my sister. The text reads, ‘a very big and highly commendation to you and Chibueze your son, and to all of us as siblings. It was really a long time of suffering and trials, but God did it. I am happy that the world and the children of God are celebrating her today. It is a thing of joy. I am in tears in my heart but I thank God Almighty for this wonderful blessing. Thanks for everything you has been to us. You have always made our family proud. It is a clear prophecy and manifestation of God’s grace and blessings on us that this is happening today. Keep shining to the world. The sky will be your bouncing spring.'”
The youngest sister, Nosiri Chidiebere Precious, in an interview, said she was particularly happy on the elevation of her sister to a Judge.
According to her, her sister has so far shown commitment and expertise in her profession, and has been the pillar of the family.
She prayed for God’s continued guidance on her and more wisdom in discharge of her duties, expressing optimism that she will get to the Supreme Court Justice.
In the same vein, Dr. Ijeoma Nosiri, another younger sister, described her elevation as the Lord’s doing, thanking God for a day like this.
She further described her sister as a vibrant and God-fearing woman who is so humble and considerate hence, will do well in changing the narrative in the country’s Judicial system.
“Women are enlightened and veritable materials in rebranding the nation. Check where women are leading and see that things hardly go wrong because they have fear of God and to things to the best of their knowledge. Women are created to change the game when things seem to go wrong. This is what my sister represents not only in the family but the larger society.”
