Renowned broadcaster and Arise Television anchor, Oseni Rufai, has called for maximum security for former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, insisting that the former Anambra State governor must be protected in the interest of democracy, peace and national stability.
Rufai made the statement while commenting on the country’s political climate, stressing that the safety of political leaders should never be compromised regardless of their party affiliation or political beliefs.
According to the veteran journalist, Peter Obi remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent opposition figures whose constitutional right to move freely, engage with citizens and participate in national affairs must be respected and protected.
