Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has declared that his administration will not allow the state to return to what he described as an era of hardship under the All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that his government remains focused on sustaining development and improving the lives of residents.
Speaking during an engagement with party supporters and stakeholders, Adeleke said his administration has continued to deliver on its promises through infrastructure development, improved workers’ welfare, better healthcare services, and investments in education.
The governor maintained that the people of Osun voted for change and responsible leadership, stressing that his administration is committed to protecting the gains achieved since assuming office.
“We won’t allow Osun to go backwards. Our mission is to continue delivering the dividends of democracy and ensuring that every citizen enjoys the benefits of good governance,” Adeleke said.
He urged residents to remain united and continue supporting his administration, noting that peace, cooperation, and public participation are essential to achieving sustainable development across the state.
Adeleke also called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain steadfast and focused, saying his government would continue to prioritize projects and policies that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and prudent management of public resources, adding that efforts to create jobs, attract investment, and strengthen the state’s economy would remain central to his administration’s agenda.
His remarks come as political activities continue to intensify ahead of future elections, with both the ruling PDP and the opposition APC expected to step up campaigns across the state.
Political analysts say the governor’s comments reflect the growing political atmosphere in Osun, where issues of governance, development, and public welfare are expected to dominate political discourse in the months ahead.
