Prince Maduba Chukwudi Francis, a popular Imo State based youth advocate, activist, and community organiser, has been appointed South-East Coordinator of the Convention of Nigerian Youths (CONIYO), West Africa.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated September 14, 2026, signed by the organisation’s Secretary-General, Dr. Munachim King O. Ugboaja, and Country Coordinator, Pastor Innocent Uche Akujuobi.
In the letter, CONIYO described Maduba as a respected leader and advocate for youth empowerment, citing his commitment to capacity building and youth development as reasons for inviting him to take up the regional coordinating role.
The organisation said its activities focus on youth empowerment, activism, networking, advocacy, skills acquisition and training, as well as addressing social, economic and health-related needs.
Maduba, who is also known as Olu-Imo, has been involved in grassroots advocacy and community development initiatives in Imo State. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Niger Delta Progressive Youth Movement (NDPYM), through which he has spoken on infrastructure, education and political representation affecting communities in the Oguta Local Government Area.
His appointment adds a regional dimension to his youth advocacy activities and places him in a coordinating role within an organisation focused on mobilising and empowering Nigerian youths across West Africa
