Chief Enyinnaya Onuegbu has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, by the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
The appointment marks the return of the former Commissioner for Lands to another strategic position within the Imo State Government, following the completion of his tenure at the Ministry of Lands.
Chief Onuegbu, who served as the immediate past Commissioner for Lands, brings to his new assignment valuable experience from his time within the state executive council and his involvement in government administration.
He takes over from Mr. Sydney Emeka Agbo, who is now the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oru West State Constituency in the forthcoming election.
The transition comes as Mr. Agbo moves from his administrative responsibilities at the Government House to the political arena, where he will represent the APC in the contest for the Oru West State Constituency seat.
With the new appointment, Chief Onuegbu is expected to assume a key role in the coordination of government operations and activities, working with relevant officials and stakeholders to support the smooth running of the administration.
His return to the Government House also highlights the continued deployment of experienced hands within the Uzodimma administration as the government carries forward its programmes and responsibilities across the state.
As Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Onuegbu will be expected to work closely with the Chief of Staff and other senior government officials in coordinating administrative activities and ensuring effective communication and implementation of government directives.
The new role presents another opportunity for the former Lands Commissioner to contribute his experience and knowledge to the affairs of the state government.
His appointment has also attracted attention within political and government circles, particularly because of his previous position as a member of the State Executive Council.
For Mr. Agbo, his departure from the Government House marks the beginning of a new phase in his political career as he prepares to contest the Oru West State Constituency election on the platform of the APC.
The development therefore represents a significant transition for both men, with Agbo moving into the electoral contest and Onuegbu returning to the state government in a strategic administrative capacity.
Chief Enyinnaya Onuegbu is expected to bring his experience, administrative exposure and understanding of government processes to his new assignment as Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations.
His latest appointment further adds to the evolving administrative structure of the Imo State Government under Governor Hope Uzodimma as the administration continues to manage the affairs of the state.
