Former President Goodluck Jonathan has restated his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), pledging to remain actively involved in the party’s efforts to strengthen democracy and promote good governance in Nigeria.
Jonathan said the PDP remains an important platform for national unity, democratic growth, and inclusive development.
He noted that despite the challenges facing the party, its values and legacy continue to appeal to many Nigerians who desire stability, fairness, and accountable leadership.
Speaking on his long-standing relationship with the PDP, the former president stated that he has no intention of leaving the party that provided him the opportunity to serve the nation.
He stressed the need for collective responsibility, urging party leaders and members at all levels to set aside personal interests and work together to reposition the PDP as a credible and strong political force.
Jonathan also pledged to contribute his experience and guidance toward building internal unity, peaceful engagement, and constructive dialogue within the party.
He expressed confidence that with discipline, cooperation, and renewed focus on the welfare of Nigerians, the PDP can regain public trust and play a meaningful role in the country’s democratic process.
