President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that the era of empty promises and abandoned projects is over, as he begins to shape the narrative for his 2027 re-election campaign.
Speaking at the commissioning of road rehabilitation projects in Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory, Tinubu said his administration is focused on delivering tangible results, not rhetoric. He emphasized that infrastructure development is central to rebuilding trust between the government and the people.
According to Tinubu, his government is determined to set a new standard where promises are backed by action, and where citizens can see and feel the impact of governance in their daily lives.
Political analysts believe the president’s remarks signal the beginning of his re-election messaging, with a focus on completed projects, accountability, and performance. The slogan “No More Empty Promises” is already gaining traction within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a likely campaign theme.
