Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, has commended Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham as one of the premier talents globally.
City had shown interest in acquiring Bellingham’s services last season, but the player opted for a move to the LaLiga giants.
In his inaugural campaign with Madrid, the English international has already notched up 20 goals across all competitions.
Bellingham poses as a significant threat that City will need to contend with in their upcoming Champions League quarter-final first leg.
Guardiola remarked during a press briefing, “He featured for Dortmund at just 17, and I noted that it’s not just his technical abilities, but also his cognitive prowess that sets him apart.”
“He joined this club amidst exceptional players and under the guidance of a seasoned manager like Carlo Ancelotti, who possesses an incredible knack for identifying the best position for players. Carlo quickly discovered it for Bellingham, and they formed a quick connection.”
“He’s had an exceptional season in terms of goals, assists, and his impact in the penalty area. Not only for Madrid but also with the England national team, he’s been outstanding. At just 19 or 20, he has a promising career ahead of him.”
