Why Oru West Should Look Beyond Willie T.C. Okolieogwo for Executive Chairman

by admin

If we examine the candidates for the position of Executive Chairman of Oru West, it becomes evident that Mr. Willie T.C. Okolieogwo is not the right choice. Here’s why the citizens of Oru West should seek a more suitable candidate:

Disrespect for Ward Leadership
Mr. Willie repeatedly disrespects ward leadership by unilaterally appointing president generals and other key positions within communities. He has even endorsed candidates for councilor roles without consulting ward leaders, as seen in his recent endorsements for Ubulu and Ibiasoegbe through his media aide, Brenda Nwaozor. No single leader in Oru West supports him, as evident from his campaign pictures.

Vindictive Administration
During his tenure as IMC Chairman and SOLAD, Mr. Willie demonstrated a vindictive approach. He only rewarded those who agreed with him, regardless of the merit of their actions. His “shared prosperity” strategy was designed to undermine the party in Oru West. Moreover, he has refused to release the office of ALGON to the current chairman, using it instead as his campaign office.

Poor Project Execution
Mr. Willie’s track record on project execution is disappointing. Health center projects under his administration were poorly managed, and the promised 5 km road remains incomplete. He has failed to showcase successful projects, raising concerns about his contractor choices who are often from his community and fail to complete their work. Additionally, Oru West has yet to see the ambulance and Toyota Corolla that belong to the council.

A Divisive Figure
Oru West needs a leader who can unite the community. Mr. Willie T.C. Okolieogwo has proven to be divisive and ineffective. His disregard for local leadership, vindictive nature, and poor project management make him the wrong choice for Executive Chairman.

In conclusion, Oru West deserves a leader who respects its institutions, works for the common good, and ensures effective project execution. Mr. Willie T.C. Okolieogwo is not that leader. For a united and prosperous future, Oru West must look beyond Mr. Willie for its next Executive Chairman.
