In a devastating incident on Saturday, August 3, 2024, eight people, including a community President General and several village heads, were brutally murdered by unknown gunmen in Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State. Several other individuals were injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment.
According to reports from The Newsmen in Owerri, the community is in deep mourning and fear following the horrific attack. The assailants, whose identities remain a mystery, executed the attack with chilling precision, specifically targeting prominent local leaders and instilling widespread terror among the residents.
