President General of Obile autonomous community in Ohaji/ Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, Obido Pascal Ndubuisi, has urged the people of Ohaji to continue to observe and promote their cultures.
He reflected that their cultural heritages would be more pronounced and globally appreciated when they collectively and fully celebrate them.
Obido made the urge while speaking with journalists during the New Yam Cultural Festival of Egbema Clan organized by the United Egbema Brothers Association, Owerri Branch, in Owerri, on Sunday.
Eulogizing the people of Egbema for celebrating and promoting their cultures colorfully, the President General advised youths of Ohaji/Egbema to be proud as they support every activity of government geared to develop their area while being law-abiding, united, peaceful and patriotic.
The patriotic indigene of Obile who stressed that culture perfectly identifies a people and their community, encouraged the people to shun any act that may dissuade them from towing the part of honor, community building and development.
Obido, a vibrant young man and pragmatic leader, promised to support every activity that can enhance goodness, peace and development in Obile, Ohaji/Egbema in particular and Imo State in general.
“I am profoundly happy to witness the colorful celebration of Egbema New Yam Cultural Festival in Owerri. I strongly believe in what Egbema people did and I urge Ohaji people to keep faith while celebrating their New Yam Cultural Festival.
“This is a way of showing the world of the richness of their cultures. Ohaji Clan should keep faith as they unanimously observe and promote their cultures.
“I also urge youths to be law-abiding, patriotic, peaceful and strive to be productive to beat poverty and vice to have glorifying living. I love Obile and Ohaji/Egbema very much. Let love, unity and peace continue to be our hallmarks as we advance goodness and development”, the President General maintained.
