As the 2027 Imo State governorship election approaches, the political atmosphere is heating up, with many citizens and influential figures rallying behind Chima Amadi’s candidacy. Thoughtful, patriotic, and development-focused Imo residents have openly declared their confidence in Amadi’s leadership abilities, believing that he has the vision, competence, and commitment needed to bring meaningful change to the state.
A wave of political realignments has seen key figures from various parties officially joining The Mazi Organization (TMO), the movement championing Amadi’s governorship bid. Among those who have pledged their support are Okenze Paul Opara, the immediate past Zonal Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Owerri Zone; Hon. Udo Agoha, former Commissioner for Agriculture and State Coordinator of Big Tent in Imo State; Hon. Titus Anyanwu; Okenze Henry Unegbu; Hon. Chinenye Ezurike; Princess Juliet Anyanwu; Engr. Fred Kamalu; Dr. Uzor Mmezi, the Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Imo State; and Engr. Paul Ejiogu. Additionally, several former APC Ward Chairmen from Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area have also aligned themselves with TMO.
During a formal gathering in Owerri, where these political figures were officially welcomed into TMO, they praised Amadi’s leadership qualities and described him as the right man to lead Imo State into a new era of economic growth, peace, and infrastructural development.
Okenze Paul Opara, one of the prominent figures at the event, emphasized the need for capable leadership in Imo State. He explained that after carefully assessing Amadi’s background, achievements, and vision, he was convinced that Amadi is the best candidate to occupy the governor’s seat in 2027. Expressing his full commitment to TMO, Opara stated that Amadi’s leadership would bring prosperity to all Imo citizens, regardless of their social class, religious beliefs, or background.
Dr. Uzor Mmezi also spoke about Amadi’s mission, assuring the people that he is not entering politics for personal gain but to transform Imo State into an economically productive hub. He pointed out that Amadi has clear plans to improve key sectors such as agriculture, trade, and infrastructure, ensuring that Imo citizens enjoy better living conditions. Mmezi further stated that ADP would collaborate with TMO to secure Amadi’s victory and bring long-overdue economic relief to the people.
Hon. Udo Agoha, another strong supporter of Amadi, reinforced the importance of the movement, stating, “This is not just about one person; it is about the collective future of Imo State. The TMO project is serious business, and we are determined to see it succeed in 2027.”
Welcoming the new members into The Mazi Organization, the group’s Spokesperson and Head of Media and Publicity, Cajetan Duke, praised them as experienced politicians and respected leaders whose presence would add significant value to the movement. He emphasized that their decision to support Amadi reflected a shared commitment to a better Imo State.
“As we prepare for the journey ahead, TMO is focused on extensive grassroots mobilization and citizen engagement,” Duke said. “We strongly believe that Imo State needs a new breed of leaders who will prioritize the welfare of the people and drive real development. With the addition of these seasoned politicians, we are confident in our ability to unite and inspire the people to work towards a common goal.”
He further highlighted that TMO is built on principles of inclusivity, transparency, and accountability. According to him, the movement is open to all Imo citizens, regardless of their political affiliations or background, and aims to create a participatory system where everyone has a voice in shaping the future of the state.
“As we move forward, we call on all Imo citizens to join us in this movement for a brighter future,” Duke added. “Together, we can achieve greatness and turn Imo State into a model of progress and excellence in Nigeria. We appreciate the trust that these prominent politicians have placed in us, and we promise to work tirelessly to justify their confidence.”
With increasing endorsements and growing grassroots support, Chima Amadi’s governorship bid is gaining strong momentum. As political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, TMO is actively working on community engagement, voter education, and policy advocacy to strengthen its influence. The movement is positioning itself as a people-driven force committed to delivering transformational leadership and ensuring that Imo State becomes a beacon of development and opportunity for all.
