Special Adviser on Security matters to the Governor of Abia state and a leader of the labour party in Umuahia South Local Government Area, Naval Commander Macdonald Ubah, Retd, has called on disgruntled opposition parties in the state to bury their inordinate ambitions to take over Abia governorship seat in the forthcoming general election by the national electoral commission.
He insisted that the people of the state are proud of Governor Alex Otti and his administration’s giant strides in socio economic and infrastructural development of the state, adding that Abia electorates will not afford to change a performing government in the state for visionless leadership from unideological opposition parties.
Speaking with newsmen at the weekend shortly after the funeral of the Abia chairman of Nigerian legion, Cdre A .E Duruoha held in Ovim in Isiukwuato local government area, Ubah insisted that there is no vacancy in Abia government house in 2027 and boasted that Otti will be reelected by the people for another term in office for redefining governance in the state through building of critical infrastructures across the seventeen local government council areas of the state.
According to him, these completed and ongoing infrastructural projects by Governor Otti-led administration has fostered remarkable improvements in the state’s education and health delivery systems, and as well engendered inflow of foreign and local business investments in critical sectors of Abia’s economy.
Continuing, Ubah stated “The governor has equally rewritten ugly narratives associated with governance in Abia with efficient civil service, ongoing establishment of airport, and effective security architecture. Today, Abia is ranked as peaceful and safest state due to workable security architecture put in place by the present administration.
“These improved infrastructures engendered by this current state government has turned Abia to become new destination for foreign and local business investments, unlike the past, investors relocated their businesses due to insecurity and infrastructural deficits”, the security adviser added.
Reiterating that there’s no vacancy in Abia government house come 2027, Retired Naval Commander Macdonald Ubah noted that major opposition leaders had lauded Governor Otti-led administration’s giants developmental strides and admonished those nursing to unseat the performing incumbent governor in 2027 to bury their inordinate ambitions and support Dr Otti’s re-election so as to enable him consolidate on numerous democratic gains already-achieved by his administration in Abia state.
He further used the medium to thank the people of Abia state for their unalloyed supports to Governor Alex Otti, as his administration remains committed in enhancing socio-economic and infrastructural development in the state for the good of every Abia citizens and residents.
