Ahead of the race for continued peace and wide- spread development of Imo state, numerous voices have sprung up calling for equity, justice and fairplay in choice of which zone and personality that should superintend over the affairs of our dear state , Imo .
Interestingly most of the Voices have toed that path, High Chief Dr. Collins Osuagwu took sometime ago.
Imo state Charter of Equity in all it’s ramifications appear being misinterpreted by a few who does not take cognizance of the fact Equity means doing the right thing righteously.
At various fora and time , Political influencers and opinion moulders have tried tilting away from the truth. Take it to any Bank, I High Chief Dr Collins Osuagwu will succinctly let Imolites know that Imo state is on trust to each and every one of us, that a leader or a group is allowed to hold sway in the direction , appropriation and allocation of values our Commonwealth.
At the Return of Democratic governance in Nigeria at 1998, executive powers of Imo state government had to be given to Orlu zone when H/E Chief Dr. Achike Uzoma Udenwa got elected . He held sway for 8 years . It was obviously Okigwe zone that was to come next with Chief Dr Ikedi Godson ohakim who came on board in 2007 . This Okigwe chance got truncated by Orlu and Owerri leaders.
During Ohakim era, there were free discussions about the running of the affairs therein. When it was time for the young man to pull the hattrick in his sleeves. Lots of bickerings , mudslinging and Propaganda with tissues of lies from the pit of hell were unleashed by enemies of Imo Progress . Orlu leaders with Owerri rocked the boat against Okigwe zone
That was how Owelle Rochas Okorocha from Orlu was aided to deny Okigwe Zone their opportunity to do a second term.
This Coup , through active collaboration of Senator Mrs Christy Anyanwu’s Radio stations that employed deceit painted Okigwe zone , robbing truncating Okigwe’s chance.
Now for Equity to be meaningful, there must be a serious attonement where Okigwe zone must be allowed to have 2027 Imo governorship ticket by all the parties. Infact that denial must be remedied by allowing Okigwe prevail in 2027. There are many of us from this zone . Am in the forefront as a contender.
Am glad many Imo state Leaders and highly responsible ones have consistently toed my path. After Okigwe Owerri zone must be allowed in good conscience to Produce their own for Equity sake in fairness . I stand with Ugiri Elders council resolutions in Power sharing in the state.
The 2027 Imo guber is a test case for some us. I will surly offer a credible leadership deviod of negativities . IMO is in dire need of Credible and compassionate leadership that will turn our dear state to the global height .
Our gas deposit which is the new global energy need is a blessing which some of us in global Oil and Gas must not fail to harness .
Imo state needs potential globally accepted giants to pilot the affairs. High Chief Dr Collins Chigozie Osuagwu will never disappoint . Already Zeus Marine oil and gas is at the center stage for economic revitalisation of Imo state.
