Rage and uproar overtook the 25th Youth Summit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in Imo State as Prince Wisdom Nwauwa delivered a fiery condemnation of Hon. Kyrian, accusing him of fraud, abuse of office, and dragging the integrity of the commission into the gutter.
In a no-holds-barred confrontation, Nwauwa exposed what he described as the deliberate hijacking of the summit by corrupt interests and political stooges, with Kyrian allegedly at the center of it all. He claimed the summit was reduced to a cash-grab, an embarrassing spectacle where funds meant for youth empowerment were diverted, mismanaged, or pocketed outright. According to him, qualified youth representatives were blacklisted and replaced with handpicked loyalists who served no purpose other than to rubber-stamp Kyrian’s misconduct.
Nwauwa described the entire process as shameful, accusing Kyrian of compiling fake delegate lists, awarding phony contracts, and turning the youth program into a political reward system. He warned that continued silence in the face of such blatant abuse would be nothing short of complicity.
The confrontation sent shockwaves through the summit hall, forcing a pause in proceedings and drawing widespread murmurs of both support and outrage. Many attendees expressed anger over what they now see as a summit built on lies and theft. Demands for an immediate investigation into Hon. Kyrian’s activities are growing louder, with calls for his suspension gaining momentum.
The 25th Imo NDDC Youth Summit, once expected to be a milestone of youth empowerment, now lies tarnished. What should have been a platform for progress has instead become a theatre of disgrace, mismanagement, and bitter accusations. Hon. Kyrian now faces mounting pressure to account for his actions—or step aside in the face of the storm.
Prince Nwauwa called on the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, to immediately intervene and call Hon. Kyrian to order, warning that the lawmaker is no longer representing the interests of the oil-rich communities, but rather advancing selfish, personal gains at the expense of the people.
He further demanded that Governor Uzodinma sack Hon. Kyrian without delay, stating that continued tolerance of such misconduct is a direct insult to the region’s development efforts and the aspirations of its youth. According to Nwauwa, only decisive action can restore public trust and salvage what is left of the summit’s credibility.
