Galatasaray are reportedly prepared to send a private jet to Nigeria to bring Victor Osimhen back to Istanbul after the striker picked up an ankle injury during Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.
The 26-year-old was forced off in the first half of Friday’s match in Kigali after landing awkwardly on his left ankle. Early reports suggest the Super Eagles star is in considerable pain and will miss Nigeria’s upcoming qualifier against South Africa.
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk confirmed the club is closely monitoring the situation.
If necessary, the club may send a plane to bring him to Istanbul for further tests. We’ll know more by tomorrow, but at the moment, he is in pain,
Osimhen is expected to undergo medical examinations in Istanbul once his travel is arranged, pending the club’s decision.
