Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State will officially kick off activities commemorating the second anniversary of his second term in office on Thursday, 15th of January 2026, highlighting two years of active governance under his renewed mandate.

The anniversary programme will showcase the administration’s achievements across key sectors, including infrastructure development, security, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. It also offers an opportunity for the government to engage citizens and stakeholders on its ongoing development plans.

State government officials said the celebration will feature project inaugurations, inspections of ongoing works, thanksgiving services, and interactions with community leaders and development partners. These events aim to demonstrate tangible results of policies and initiatives implemented over the past two years.

Since assuming office for a second term in January 2024, Governor Uzodimma has continued to build on previous achievements while advancing development initiatives that directly impact the lives of Imo citizens. His administration has maintained a governance approach centered on accountability, institutional reform, and steady growth.

The anniversary will also provide a chance for the governor to outline plans for the remaining years of his tenure, focusing on inclusive development, economic revitalisation, and long-term stability for Imo State.

Political leaders, traditional rulers, religious figures, industry stakeholders, and other partners from within and beyond the state are expected to attend the events, highlighting Imo State’s growing role in national development.
