Leaders and stakeholders of the Mbieri extraction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have passed a strong vote of confidence on their apex leader, Barr. Chief Mercelinus Nlemigbo (Ochiriozuo), while declaring total loyalty to the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma.

The resolution was part of a communiqué issued at the end of a high-level meeting of the Mbieri Consultative Forum held on February 22, 2026. The forum, attended by party leaders, stakeholders, and elders from Mbieri, stressed unity, discipline, and commitment to the progress of the APC within Mbaitoli Local Government Area and Imo State at large.

In a unanimous decision, the forum declared total solidarity with Chief Nlemigbo, describing his leadership as stabilizing and instrumental to the growth of the party structure in Mbieri and beyond.

The group warned against any attempt by individuals or groups to undermine or malign his person or office, stressing that such actions would be firmly resisted. Stakeholders stated that Nlemigbo’s guidance has continued to strengthen party cohesion and provide clear direction for members across the zone.

The Mbieri APC family also used the occasion to commend Chief Kelechi Obi (Osimike) for his steadfast commitment and contributions to the party, particularly during his tenure as Acting Chairman in Mbaitoli LGA.

The forum appealed to Chief Nlemigbo, the Imo APC State leadership, and Governor Uzodimma to consider Obi for a strategic position at the state level, noting that such recognition would further consolidate unity and reward loyalty within the party ranks.

The group declared total support for Governor Uzodimma, applauding ongoing infrastructural projects across the state. Particular mention was made of the road construction project linking Ukwu Orji to Nwaorieubi, which the forum described as transformative for the people of Mbieri and surrounding communities.

They also expressed appreciation to the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Chinyere Ekomaru, for her supportive role in advancing the administration’s development agenda.

While commending the governor’s efforts, the forum appealed for the extension of the road project from Nworubi to Atta Junction, as well as the completion of the Orji Junction to T-Junction Mbieri axis, noting that the Uratta portion has already been completed.

The Mbieri stakeholders emphasized the need for balanced infrastructural development, noting that completing the Mbieri axis of the road would create a vital economic link and further stimulate commercial and social activities in the area.

They concluded by pledging continued unity and vigilance in protecting the interests of the party and the Mbieri people.

Communiqué
COMMUNIQUÉ ISSUED BY THE ENTIRE MBIERI NATION OF APC EXTRACTION, UNDER THE NAME, MBIERI CONSULTATIVE FORUM, 22nd February, 2026

The entire Mbieri Nation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), having convened in unity and brotherhood, hereby issues this communiqué to reaffirm our collective position on matters concerning our party, our leadership, and the development of our land.

Unwavering Support for Our Apex Leader
We unanimously and unequivocally declare our total support and solidarity with our son and father, Barr. Chief Mercelinus Nlemigbo (Ochiriozuo) – Dee MARCON, whose leadership has continued to provide direction, stability, and strength to our great party within Mbieri and beyond.
We therefore issue a strong warning to any individual, group, clan, or zone that may attempt, in any form, to insult, malign, or undermine the person and leadership of Chief Nlemigbo. Such acts will be firmly resisted, as we remain resolute in defending the integrity and dignity of our leader.

Appreciation and Recommendation of Chief Kelechi Obi (Osimike)
The Mbieri APC family uses this opportunity to sincerely appreciate Chief Kelechi Obi (Osimike) for his steadfast commitment and invaluable contributions to the party. His tenure as Acting Chairman brought remarkable stability and cohesion to the party structure in Mbaitoli LGA at a critical time.

In view of his service, dedication, and loyalty, we respectfully appeal to Chief Nlemigbo, the State Leadership of the All Progressives Congress, and the Executive Governor of Imo State to kindly consider Chief Kelechi Obi for a reasonable position at the state level within our great party. Such recognition will not only be well deserved but will further strengthen party unity and morale.

Enduring Loyalty to the Governor
Our unalloyed support for the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, cannot be overemphasized. We deeply appreciate his numerous infrastructural strides across the state, particularly the ongoing road construction from Ukwu Orji to Nwaorieubi. This project stands as a landmark intervention for our people.

We equally express our gratitude to the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, for her supportive role in advancing the developmental vision of this administration.
While thanking His Excellency for this rare gesture, we humbly plead that the road construction be extended from Nworubi to Atta Junction. For us as a people, this project is truly transformative, and its extension will further boost economic and social activities within our communities.
Further Appeal for Infrastructure Expansion
Like the proverbial Oliver Twist, we respectfully appeal to our infrastructural Governor to also consider the completion of the road stretching from Orji Junction to T-Junction, Mbieri. We commend the government for completing the Uratta axis of the road; however, leaving out the Mbieri axis creates an incomplete link in a critical route.

A continuation and completion of this road project to the Mbieri axis will be highly appreciated and will further demonstrate the administration’s commitment to balanced development across communities.

Signed:
Hon. Chief Dr Collins Ugorji
(Operational Leader/Convener)
Hon. Chief Ugonna Achuko
(Secretary)
Chief Princewill Ezebuihie
(Apex Leader)
