President Bola Tinubu, under the South East Renewed Hope Initiative, has funded the registration of 50,000 students across the South East geopolitical zone for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The support package also includes mock examination registration, providing financial relief to thousands of families while expanding access to tertiary education opportunities for young people in the region.
Reports indicate that the beneficiaries were evenly distributed, with 10,000 students selected from each of the five South East states.
The gesture underscores the administration’s commitment to advancing education and empowering youths through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
