A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Princewill Dike, has called on President Bola Tinubu to entrust the leadership of his 2027 re-election campaign to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Dike described Wike as the most qualified political figure to spearhead the president’s campaign, citing his vast experience, strong grassroots connection, and proven track record in mobilizing support across party lines. According to him, Wike’s political influence and strategic capabilities make him a valuable asset in securing victory for the ruling party in the next general election.
He further noted that Wike’s role in national politics has continued to expand since his appointment as FCT Minister, positioning him as a unifying figure capable of strengthening the APC’s base, particularly in regions where the party seeks to consolidate support.
The APC chieftain emphasized that early preparation and the selection of a capable campaign leader would be critical to the success of President Tinubu’s re-election bid. He urged party stakeholders to prioritize competence and political reach in making such decisions.
Dike’s remarks add to ongoing political discussions surrounding alignments and strategies ahead of the 2027 elections, as key figures within and outside the ruling party continue to position themselves for influential roles in the coming political cycle.
