Distinguished Leaders, Esteemed Youths of Imo State, Ladies and Gentlemen,
With profound humility and a deep sense of responsibility, I accept my appointment as Interim Management Committee Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter. I am grateful to God Almighty for this opportunity to serve, and I thank the NYCN Interim Management Committee, duly recognized by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, for the confidence reposed in me.
I wish to specially appreciate our Leader, Comr. Ifeanyi Uzoh, the South-East Representative of the National IMC, for his tireless commitment to youth unity across the region and for rectifying this appointment. My sincere gratitude also goes to the IMC National Chairman, Barr. Buhari Ibrahim Na Shehu, whose wisdom and dedication to restoring peace and order to the NYCN have been exemplary. Your ability to unite the National Youth Council of Nigeria at this critical time is a testament to purposeful leadership, and I am honoured to work under your guidance.
I am fully aware of the weight of this mandate. For the next six months, my primary responsibility is clear: to unite all youth structures and stakeholders in Imo State under one NYCN, and to conduct a free, fair, and credible election that reflects the true will of Imo youths. I pledge, before you all, to deliver on this mandate without fear or favour.
This is not a time for division. It is a time for healing, rebuilding, and laying a solid foundation for the next elected leadership of NYCN in Imo State. I therefore call on all youth leaders, affiliate organizations, and stakeholders — irrespective of past differences — to join hands with me. Let us put Imo first. Let us put the future of our youths first.
To the IMC, to Leader Ifeanyi Uzoh, and to Barr. Buhari Ibrahim Na Shehu, I assure you: I will not betray this trust. With your support and the cooperation of Imo youths, we will restore dignity to the Council and return NYCN Imo State Chapter to the path of peace, unity, and progress.
