By Iyke-Jacobs Nwosu.AMANATOR OKPORO aut community , Orlu local government area has elected a community Philanthropist and industrialist , Chief Francis Chukwuemeka Ujagba (Nmirinezoroha) as their new traditional ruler putting an end to community feud since 2002 when HRH Eze Silver Ibenye Ugbala ( Eze Ugo 111. ) joined his ancestors.
The demise of this traditional ruler brought manipulation by some u scrupulous leaders in conjunction with the government
that manipulated the laws which eventually brought the community to standstill especially at the demise of His highness Barrister V.N.C Ugbala ( Eze Ugo IV.)
Accordingly Okporo Communities were balkanized into three different autonomous communities of Udo gadi Okporo ,Isiala Okporo and Amanator Okporo autonomous communities.
Chief John Egolu, President -general of the Community who addressed the crowd at the venue of the election stated that June 12 th. 2024 ( Democracy day) was the date preparations started when idea of consensus given by the Community for selection did not work out amongst Umuebele Village where the rotation was agreed to start as Akwakuma and others accepted .
The PG who expressed deep concern on the need for all to be painstaking in their choice of a candidate counseled them to vote according to their Conscience for the advancement of Amanator Okporo autonomous community Will depend on any choice .
An electoral empire which was announced eventually saw one Chief Emmatee emerge to superintend under the watchful eyes of government security operatives and members of the Press .
Two contestants whose photographs were presented through their Representatives filled for Option A4 .
In the keenly contested transparent Process , Chief Franchise Chukwuemeka Ujagba ( Nmirinezoroha) pulled 135 Votes to defeat his rival Chief Ejiogu Nwosu Adindu, who secured Only 11 Votes .
The announcement of the result threw the venue into jubilations while the empire enthused the crowd that Victory of Nmirinezoroha means Umuebele Village has spoken in one Voice.
Chief Samson Akatakpo a business Morgul and stakeholder who was addressed the Community disclosed that God Has lots of interests on Amanator Okporo autonomous community . He urged the people to rally round Nmirinezoroha who has shown enormous capacity in advancing the community .
Chief Samson lauded efforts of the new traditional ruler who has invested lots of his God’s given blessings in helping others . He assured that good contacts and ideas would make sense in the development of Amanator Okporo autonomous community henceforth as he preached for love amongst brethrens.
Engr . Damian Adinnu a senior federal govt civil servant at Federal ministry of Defence who came in for the progress of the community told our correspondent that Amanator Okporo autonomous community is on the verge of upliftment now with the outcome of today’s ( Saturday 14th September 2024 Ezeship election in IMO. He mentioned some of the projects being embarked by Chief Francis Chukwuemeka Ujagba (Nmirinezoroha) our Eze- elect amongst Empowerment of youths with Buses, Building of Churches and currently embarking on Construction of a 3 Kilometer Asphalt Road for the Community.
Earlier on, the elder brother , Chief Gilberth Okolie ( Chinemere -Eze ) who stood in for Chief Chukwuemeka Ujagba enumerated many contributions of the new monarch including putting food on table for most families in Amanator and beyond yearly indication to human capital investments . The Chineme- Eze summed it up describing the young monarch as Visionary and focused a leader of hope .
