Empowerment Of Constituents: Dr. Emma Mbanusi Extols Senator Ndubueze’s Visionary Leadership

The empowerment programmes embarked on by the senator representing Imo North (Okigwe Zone) for his constituents, had drawn commendations from Dr. Emma Mbanusi who poured out his heart of appreciation, while describing the lawmaker as a visionary leader who is abreast of the needs of his constituents, hence his well thought out programmes of empowerment for them.

Mbanusi, a Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President, made this known recently while interacting with journalists in Owerri during the closing ceremony of the one week skills acquisition programme and empowerment for the people of Okigwe Zone courtesy of Senator Ndubueze; a programme Dr. Mbanusi noted was impactful and transforming.

He hailed the senator for transcending his robust legislative performance and effective advocacy to engineering transformative activities in the senatorial zone. He recalled that few weeks ago, Senator Ndubueze sponsored similar exercise on fish farming for his constituents, expressing happiness that they beneficiaries were doing well.

“Truly, Senator Patrick Ndubueze is out to provide the people of Okigwe Zone with steady means of livelihood. His idea is not to share money that will not do much for them, but to consciously impact them with skills to ensure their economic empowerment and self-reliance,” Dr. Mbanusi, asserted, while commending the lawmaker for sponsoring a Bill on the Establishment of Federal University Okigwe which is approaching passage.

Furthermore, Dr. Mbanusi, stressed the importance of skills acquisition in the face of economic hardships, explaining that the senator carefully articulated the exercises in order to make lasting impressions on his constituents. He admonished the beneficiaries against selling their startup equipments provided by the senator, but to make something good out of the empowerment programme for the benefits of their families and the zone, hinting on more support for those who do well.

Calling Senator Ndubueze a man with great vision and achievements, Dr. Mbanusi used the opportunity and solicited support for him from the people of Okigwe Zone, adding that the lawmaker would stop at nothing than to transform the zone, disclosing that more empowerment programmes were lined up for the people of the area.

Meanwhile, over 100 trainees divided in four groups from the zone benefited from the empowerment exercise which impacted them with various knowledge that cut across; 3D wallpaper installation/panel installation, incnet/concrete stamp flooring; the production of liquid soap, air freshener, tile cleaner, vaseline and antiseptics. Others are the production of: beaded bags/jewelries, fascinators, gele tying/auto gele and that of bridal and asoebi hand fan making.

The highpoint of the event attended by Senator Ndubueze and other leaders from the zone, was the presentation of certificates, startup equipments and cash support to the beneficiaries amid jubilations, commendations and prayers for the senator.
