Winners Of ANA Imo Short Story Competition Emerge.

Winners of the 2025 Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA, Imo chapter Short Story Competition (ANA Imo/ Prince, Sir Victor Uwakwe Short Story Competition) have emerged.

Mr Chima Ogoke emerged first with the short story titled “Scorched Earth” while the second prize was won by Mr Paul Otumbadi with the short story titled “Valentine Season Blues”. Mark Irechukwu emerged third with his short story titled “There Was A Battle”.

The winners were announced Sunday at the Whelan Institute For Continuing Education, Owerri.

The sponsor, Prince Uwakwe was present at the ceremony as he pledged to do more to support the growth of Imo ANA.

Imo ANA members applauded the sponsor for his commitment towards the progress of the association.

Also, the competition judge, Mr Dozie harped on the need for workshops and seminars for members to sharpen their skills.

A prominent member, Mr Sylvester Nwokedi announced Igbo poetry competition for members to take place in July.

According to a release by the Public Relations Officer, Mark Irechukwu, each entry would not exceed 30 lines as only financially updated members were eligible to participate.
