PRESS RELEASE

Presented by Comr. Nobleiyke Edoziem, State Youth Leader, Imo ADC
At the End of ADC LGA Youth Leaders Meeting,
Held on 9th September 2025 in Owerri

Sequel to the activities of impostors falsely parading themselves as the State Executive of Imo ADC, I, Comr. Nobleiyke Edoziem, the duly recognized Imo State ADC Youth Leader, a crusader of truth and integrity — “Agu Neche Ibe, Eche Onweya” — wish to address the youths and good people of Imo State.

I call on all ADC faithfuls and Imolites to rally around Chief Emmanuel Amushie (Omeire), the only INEC-recognized State Chairman of Imo ADC. Let us reject the selfish antics of the “Rebuild Imo” political structure — a group known for destabilizing parties, hijacking positions, and prioritizing personal interests over the welfare of Ndi Imo. Their only mission is to seize control of ADC Imo ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Place of Youths in 2027

We, the youths of ADC, are the true strength of Imo politics. No one has a monopoly on leadership. Whoever will become the Governor of Imo State must come from the will of the people — and the power to decide lies firmly in the hands of the youth.

The era of using and dumping youths is over. We must unite, take responsibility, and change the narrative. Let us invest our time, energy, and resources to support credible young leaders. We must say “No” to recycled politicians who have tested power and failed, yet seek to return only to destroy, not rebuild.

I charge every youth:

Secure your rightful place in the party.

Get your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).

Prepare to contest in 2027 — because contesting is not just a right but a duty.

Great leaders like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Obafemi Awolowo, and even Muhammadu Buhari led this nation at youthful ages. Why should today’s youths remain mere “leaders of tomorrow”? The time is now — we must rise as leaders of today.

It is an insult that former governors like Emeka Ihedioha and Ikedi Ohakim, after years in leadership, are still warming up to contest for the same office. What did they forget in Government House that others cannot deliver for Ndi Imo? Any youth supporting such recycled politicians is nothing short of a coward.

I appeal to security agencies: do not allow yourselves to be used to intimidate youths during elections. Train your officers to maintain neutrality. No force will stop the people from reclaiming their mandate through lawful means.

I call on the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, and other law enforcement agencies to arrest Dr. James Okoroma and his self-acclaimed executives, who seek to destabilize ADC in Imo. If not checked, their actions may grow into a political insurgency. INEC’s record is clear: Chief Emmanuel Amushie is the only recognized chairman of ADC in Imo State.

This is a clarion call to all Imo youths — across all political parties. Let us unite to uphold integrity, peace, and justice. If we do the right thing in Imo, then good governance is possible in Nigeria.

I see an Imo State that thrives through the courage and action of her youths. I see a generation that refuses to be silenced or sidelined. United, we are unstoppable.

ADC is our vehicle. We will not allow opportunists like Okoroma and his cohorts to destroy what we have built. If the system fails to act, then with our votes, we will act — and shape an Imo State where the youths reign supreme.

Long Live Imo Youths!
Long Live Nigerian Youths!
Long Live Imo State!
Long Live Nigeria!

New Imo is Possible. New Nigeria is Possible.

Signed:
Comr. Nobleiyke Edoziem
State Youth Leader, ADC Imo
(Agu Neche Ibe, Eche Onweya)
