Dr. Kelechi Aguguo’s Justpeace Foundation Organizes Free Medical Outreach for Elderly and Indigent Women in Eziama Community

The President of the Justpeace Foundation, Dr. Kelechi Aguguo, has organized and held a free medical care outreach program targeting aged people (the elderly) and indigent women in Eziama autonomous Community in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

Speaking during the free medical care to aged people and indigents women in Eziama Community, Dr. Kelechi Aguguo, the founder/President of Justpeace foundation disclosed that the outreach aims to bridge the healthcare access gap for two of the most vulnerable demographics in rural and semi-urban communities: the elderly, who often have chronic health issues, and low-income women, who can not afford hospital bill due to it’s cost.

Dr. Kelechi Aguguo added that the programme is on general health checks and consultations,
like blood pressure and blood sugar screenings.

She posted that it’s treatment will focus mainly for common ailments (e.g., malaria, typhoid, infections).

Dr. Kelechi Aguguo’s team of doctors and Nurses distributed free medications that was shared to the aged, sick elderly people comprising of men, women and children and wheelchair was shared to them for balancing.

The doctors on ground equally educated the people on Health education talks on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.

The highlights of the free medical care are possibly, referrals for more serious conditions to St. Mary’s Hospital, Mbano Joint Hospital, others.

This intervention is significant because, it directly addresses the needs of groups that are often left behind and provides immediate, tangible relief and fosters goodwill.
