Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed criticisms by former Senate President, David Mark, regarding the state of roads and infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory, insisting that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is delivering tangible results.
Wike challenged David Mark’s assessment of development in Abuja, highlighting ongoing road construction and infrastructure projects across the FCT. According to the minister, several long-abandoned projects have been revived and completed under the current administration, improving connectivity and boosting economic activities within the capital city.
Defending President Tinubu’s record, Wike stated that the administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to infrastructure development and urban renewal, noting that residents are already witnessing significant improvements in key sectors.
The former Rivers State governor also maintained that the government remains focused on delivering projects that directly impact the lives of citizens, regardless of political criticism.
The exchange underscores the growing political debate over the pace of development and governance performance as stakeholders continue to assess the achievements of the current administration.
