A Response To Mr. Cyril Uzokwe And Mr. Damian Okolie: An Urgent Call To Intervene, Abuse Of Office, Land Grabbing And The Unwarranted Militarization Of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom By Dr. Henry Okafor And His Associates
We have carefully read the said letter titled:
“Urgent Call to Intervene: Abuse of Office, Land Grabbing and Unwarranted Militarization of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom by Dr. Henry Okafor and His Associates.”
We, the Concerned Citizens of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom vehemently disagrees with all these false assertion made against the Commissioner for Niger Delta Affairs and Intelligence in the person of Dr. Henry Okafor. We humbly express that all the well-meaning people of Egbuoma Citizens in general disassociates ourselves with these false assertions written by Mr. Cyril Uzokwe and Mr. Damian Okolie and their group.
We submit that Egbuoma Citizens have being in good harmony with Dr. Henry Okafor the Hon. Commissioner for Niger-Delta Affairs and Intelligence. Not only that, from the time immemorial, Egbuoma ancient and Ossemoto community have being in peaceful co-existence. There have never being a time the Traditional ruler of Ossemoto community who doubles as the Chairman of all the Traditional Ruler in Oguta LGA has come to Egbuoma community to detect who is going to be the next Ezeigwe of Egbuoma Ancient kingdom.
It is instructive to note here that Umuezeala village, Ihitte Egbu village and Ubokwum village all in Egbuoma community have common boundaries with Ossemoto community. These villages in Egbuoma community have no land dispute with Ossemoto oto community in any court of law. The only boundary differences between Umuezeala people in Egbuoma community and Ossemoto people in Ossemoto community are being treated by the stakeholders from Umuezeala and Ossemoto people and they still live peacefully and are in good harmony among themselves till date.
In all honesty Your Excellency, we the Concerned Citizens of Egbuoma Ancient kingdom are very surprised of hearing of land grabbing which Mr. Cyril Uzokwe and Mr. Damian Okolie were alleging against the Hon. Commissioner for Niger-Delta Affairs and Intelligence; Dr. Henry Okafor. We are very sure that there is nothing of such nature in Egbuomacommunity.
Your Excellency, we wish to address some of the issues raised by Mr. Cyril Uzokwe and Mr. Damian Okolie.
On The Abuse Of Office And Unjust Illegal Arrest

We state with emphasis that we the Concerned Citizens of Egbuoma Ancient kingdom are aware that there was Police case between Umuezeala people. of Egbuoma community and Ossemoto people. It is also on record that the Police at the Imo State Police headquarters Owerri made peace for them and advised them to go and resolve their issues amicably which they have done.
We are fully aware that no Egbuoma son was neither detained nor molested. We are surprised that Mr. Cyril Uzokwe and Mr. Damian Okolie out of malice have beckoned on this differences and are using it to attack the Honourable Commissioner for Niger-Delta Affairs and Intelligence; Dr. Henry Okafor.
It is also instructive that Mr. Cyril Uzokwe and Mr. Damian Okolie are seriously working with the political opponents of the Honourable Commissioner for Niger-Delta Affairs and Intelligence; Dr. Henry Okafor every time he comes out for election. In the year 2019, they conspired and pulled down his house because he was contesting in that year. Also in the year 2023, they attacked his elder brother; HRH Eze Franklyn Okafor and others in Ossemoto community all in a bid to distract him from his election of that year. This time around, they have conspired again, they have conspired again to come and distract and stop him from contesting his House of Representative election. These are too bad of them and we condemn it in all angle.
We the Concerned Citizens of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom disassociates ourselves from these attacks on the Honourable Commissioner for NigerDelta Affairs and Intelligence by Mr. Cyril Uzokwe and Mr. Damian Okolie and their gang. We are disappointed and surprised that Mr. Cyril Uzokwe and Mr. Damian Okolie are not representing Egbuoma community by these their write up against the Honourable Commissioner of Niger-Delta Affairs and Intelligence; Dr. Henry Okafor and his elder brother HRH Eze Franklyn Okafor.
On The Threat Of Militarization And Forced Annexation We state categorically that since the year 2020 to the year 2026, there has been serious security challenges in Egbuoma community which have claimed over ten persons lives as a result of insecurity in Egbuoma Community.
The names of these people that lost their lives as a result of insecurity in Egbuoma are as follows:
1. Sunday Onyebuchi from Umuamara village 2. Chijioke Mgbeobu from Umuamara village
3. Mr. Chidi Ohanyere from Umuamara village
4. Nkwutesinanwa Okorie from Umuiheanacho village
5. Livinus Mmuo AKA Sakatan from Umuezike Egbu village
6. Ikechi Ejemba from Ubahudara village
7. Uchenna Ahinze AKA Uchman from Omadi village 8. Happiness Otti from Aroegbu village 9. Chinasa Obioha AKA Igbo from Amagu village 10. Onyebuchi Okafor from Ubahudara village
These people mentioned above are the people that lost their lives as a result of the insecurity that happened in Egbuoma Community. Not only that, many people from Egbuoma community were also kidnapped.
