A prominent son of Okigwe zone, Attorney Charles Chibuike Onyirimba has expressed his heart felt joy over the release of Hon. Ngozi Ogbu, who is a former Executive chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area by some unidentified individuals.
Onyirimba said that the kidnap of the Ex- Imo Lawmaker who represented Okigwe LGA in the 6th Imo State House of Assembly was uncalled for, saying that Ogbu is known to be a man of unquestionable antecedents.
The former Imo Labour Party Governorship aspirant went further to appeal to the unidentified individuals in Okigwe Zone to drop their guns and ammunitions for the interest of peace and unity.
Attorney Onyirimba called on the Imo State Government led by His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma to seek dialogue with these individuals in order to find a lasting peace in Okigwe Zone.
He called on the people of Okigwe Zone Senatorial District not to be carried away with these security challenges being faced by the people.
The Ehime Mbano born American based legal luminary used the opportunity to sue for peace in the whole of Okigwe Zone.
He called on the people of Okigwe zone not to be distracted by the security challenges the people have faced in recent time, while calling on the captors to ceasefire and embrace peaceful co-existence among one another.
