Barr. John-Bosco Obodo Vows to Lead Oguta LG with Vision and Integrity

Hon. Barr. John-Bosco Chimokwu Obodo, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming September 2024 Local Government elections, has pledged to bring effective leadership and meaningful development to Oguta Local Government Area.

In an interview following the submission of his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms in Owerri on July 19, 2024, Obodo expressed his deep understanding of the challenges faced by the people of Oguta.

I deeply understand the issues confronting our community,” Obodo said. My decision to run for the Chairmanship is driven by a sincere commitment to serve and improve the lives of our residents. I bring the experience and dedication necessary to drive significant growth and development in Oguta.

Obodo, known for his youthfulness and dedication to progress, outlined his vision for transformative change. He promised to introduce initiatives that would bring substantial improvements to the council, aiming to shift the current leadership paradigms towards a more progressive and development-oriented approach.

Confident in his abilities, Obodo declared, “I am the best-qualified candidate for the Oguta Chairmanship under the APC. I am confident that I will secure the party’s nomination and, with the support of the electorate, lead Oguta towards a prosperous future.”

He also detailed plans for infrastructural development, including the establishment of a legislative office complex to enhance effective governance by Local Government Councilors. Additionally, Obodo emphasized his commitment to ensuring the security of lives and properties in Oguta.

Ensuring the safety of our residents will be a top priority,” he assured.

In closing, Obodo appealed to the people of Oguta for their support, promising an inclusive and beneficial leadership for all.
