The good people of Umunwaoha/ Umuagwu Ward in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, have become aware of ongoing meetings between the Chairman, Hon.Chamberline Nwaozozu, and the certain leaders, and members of the party under the political party platform of APC ahead of September 2024 Local Government Council Polls.
These political gatherings appear to be aimed at denying all aspirants their rightful opportunities.
We want to emphasize that hand-picking or imposing any candidate by the chairman, leaders, or any group will not be accepted by the people.
Such actions undermine the democratic process and the rights of all aspirants.
It is unjust to impose a candidate on the ward without a fair and transparent selection process.
The leaders and chairman of the party must be aware that we are closely observing their actions.
We urge the party executives to uphold the principles of democracy and ensure that every aspirant has a fair chance.
It is imperative that the executives exercise their franchise responsibly and transparently.
