The people of Amaeke Autonomous Community in Inyshi Ikeduru LGA of Imo State, were on Thursday, 6th February, 2025, thrown into wild jubilation, following the installation of the 2019 and 2023 Imo governorship candidate of the Labour Party’, His Excellency, Chief Joseph Ikechukwu Ukaegbu, as the new Traditional prime Minister (TPM) of the acient kingdom.
The installation ceremony which took place in the palace of the traditional ruler, HRH Eze Festus Oguwuike Osuji, Umunnawuike 1 of Amaeke Autonomous Community, was attended by critical stakeholders and members of the community .

In his address, the royal father congratulated Chief Ukaegbu for his emergence having been unanimously selected and accepted by his cabinet and the entire community to occupy the exalted position after several years of vacancy.
Eze Osuji who stated that the emergence of Ukaegbu as the new TPM, would bring about security and unprecedented development in the community, considering his personality, wild spread contact and connection across the nation
He therefore, urged Ukaegbu to swing into action without delay and facilitate the construction of a befitting market in the community as well as work assiduously towards bringing a qualified medical doctor to the already existing health centre in the community among other things

In his acceptance speech, Chief Ukaegbu, who has made known his intention to join the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) and presently the National Leader of Team WAZOBIA Nigeria, thanked the monarch, his cabinet members and the entire people of Amaeke for finding him worthy and fit to occupy the position.
He promised to use his position to reconcile and reunite all aggrieved individuals and groups in order to move the community forward.
He also promised to restore the dignity of the royal thrown and that of the community, vowing to make the community to occupy a place of pride and recognition in the committee of communities in Imo State and Nigeria at large.
The humble and compassionate philanthropist further promised to work in synergy with the royal father, the youths and the people in the dishcharge of his function, vowing not to let them down.
In his remark, the President General of Amaeke Autonomous Community, Hon Reginald Enwerem, described Ukaegbu as a man of tested and proven integrity, pointing out that he would deliver in his new assignment.
In the same vein, the palace secretary, Engr. Eddy Amam, expressed satisfaction over the selection of Ukaegbu as the community’s TPM referring to him as a man of enormous carriage, courage and capacity.
Speaking, the youths leader of the community, Justice Ugoezi, expressed happiness and satisfaction over Ukaegbu’s position in the palace. He described the task before him as enormous and therefore, pledged the support and cooperation of the youths of the community for him to succeed.
Similarly, the Amaeke Community Head ( onye Isiala Amaeke) Nze Benson Ukama who cemented the ceremony with blessing, prayed the gods of the land to guide and protect Ukaegbu in the course of discharging his duties as the Onowu of the community just as he decreeed that detractors and enemies of the community would not prevail over him.
In their respective remarks, the President General of Umuanu village, Emmanuel Chibundu, Onye Isiala of Umuanu village, Sylvanus Onyeaba, Barnabas Anyanwu ( Owelle of Inyishi acient kingdom) Theophilus Ukaegbu and Alphonsus Ukaegbu, commended HRH Eze Festus Osuji , members of his cabinet as well as the entire people of the community for finding Joseph Ukaegbu worthy to serve the community in the capacity of Onowu, describing his installation as a round page inserted in a round hole.
Other illustrious sons ot the community who graced the occasion included but not limited to Prince IK Osuji, Okenwa Cosmos Iwuchukwu, Ayola Akuchie, Joachin Alisi, Sam Ehujor, Ambrose Unogu, Fabian Iwuchukwu, Patrick Ukaegbu.
