The Mazi Organization (TMO), a rising political and developmental movement in Imo State, has officially launched a dedicated media team to enhance its visibility and communication strategy. The inauguration took place on Sunday, February 24, 2025, at the Orange Room Restaurant in Owerri, bringing together key stakeholders, political figures, and media professionals. This initiative marks a major step in TMO’s commitment to broadening its reach and encouraging a stronger connection with the people of Imo State.
TMO is a formidable platform focused on empowering individuals in rural areas, promoting sustainable development, and driving progressive political change. Its mission aligns with the vision of its founder, Dr. Chima Mathew Amadi, who also serves as the Executive Director of the Centre for Transparency Advocacy (CTA). With a deep commitment to social and political advancement, Dr. Amadi has positioned TMO as a vehicle for transformation in Imo State, leveraging both grassroots engagement and strategic leadership.
Dr. Amadi, a philanthropist and political strategist from Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area, has earned widespread recognition for his humanitarian efforts. His initiatives have directly impacted the lives of many, particularly in education, business development, and healthcare. Over the years, he has funded scholarships for students from underprivileged backgrounds, provided financial assistance to small business owners, created job opportunities across various industries, and covered medical expenses for individuals in need. His philanthropic work has reinforced his reputation as a leader who prioritizes the welfare of the people, making him a strong contender for the 2027 Imo State governorship race.
The inauguration event was convened by Hon. Michael Crown Onyemaechi, a former member of the Imo State House of Assembly who represented Ihitte-Uboma Constituency. Speaking at the event, Onyemaechi emphasized the importance of media professionals in TMO’s strategic framework. He noted that the inclusion of journalists in the organization would not only enhance its outreach but also ensure transparency and accountability in its operations.
“Dr. Chima Amadi has great respect for media practitioners and understands the crucial role they play in shaping public perception. He values their contributions and will continue to prioritize their involvement when he assumes a leadership position. He is a man who listens, understands the needs of the people, and is dedicated to bringing positive change to Imo State,” Onyemaechi stated.
Echoing similar sentiments, Mr. Cajethan Duke, the former Publicity Secretary of the Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the current spokesperson of TMO, assured media professionals that their collaboration with the organization would be rewarding. He described TMO as a growing force in the political landscape of Imo State and a movement driven by purpose and vision.
“This is an organization that values loyalty, competence, and dedication. Your contributions will be acknowledged, and your efforts will not go unnoticed. Dr. Chima Amadi is a leader who understands the importance of timing, planning, and execution. With his leadership, Imo State will experience the transformation it urgently needs,” Duke affirmed.
The event also saw notable figures such as Prince Obinna Onwuegbuchulam, Dr. Harold Onumuo, and Mr. Francis Uzo express their confidence in Dr. Amadi’s leadership. They unanimously agreed that his track record of philanthropy, political acumen, and strategic vision make him the right person to lead Imo State in the future.
