The God’s Democratic Movement (GDM), a rising platform for value-driven and God-centered leadership, will on Saturday, August 23, 2025, hold its grand inauguration ceremony in Owerri, Imo State, with a special recognition for Dr. Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi (Gburugburu) for his outstanding contributions to democracy and leadership development.
The historic event, set to take place at St. James Anglican Church Shepherd Hall, Uzzi, by Mbaise Road, Owerri, will witness the official unveiling of GDM’s mission and vision, alongside the inauguration of its State Executive Council, Local Government Teams, 305 Ward Captains, Elders Council, Prayer Team, and Students’ Wing.
Speaking ahead of the inauguration, the Founder and Director General of GDM, Hon. Engr. Chukwuemeka Sheriff Amajuoyi, said the movement is driven by the conviction that only leaders guided by the fear of God can deliver transformational change.
“This is a divine mandate. Our vision is to build a society where governance is anchored on integrity, equity, and service to humanity. Our mission is to enlighten the grassroots, mentor God-fearing leaders, and promote truth, morality, and accountability in governance,” Amajuoyi declared.
The honour to be bestowed on Dr. Chima Amadi is regarded by many as fitting, as he has consistently been a voice for justice, equity, and democratic reforms in Nigeria. GDM describes him as a leader who embodies the values the movement seeks to project.
The ceremony is proudly powered by the Diaspora Ambassador and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Hon. Egbukichi Clement Chibueze (Ajibo), who has been instrumental in mobilizing support for the movement across borders.
For observers, the Owerri inauguration is not just a political event but a symbol of renewal, pointing to a new wave of leadership where morality, accountability, and service to humanity become the true pillars of governance.
