A brilliant young man of Okporo Orlu extraction, Mazi Mbaeri Nnaemeka( aka) MC Young Chief, spear heads the sponsorship of 2025/26 football tournament in his village called Akwakuma, Okporo, Orlu LGA , with theme ” 2025/2026 Unity Football Competition. The official kick off for the tournament, was held last Thursday, 24th December, 2025 , at the central school 2 Abara Okporo, with Okuafor Vs Umuchukwun’du as the first team on group “A”.
The official kick off of this commendable football, competition, lays the foundation for its success, ability to create a shared vision and common understanding among the team players.
Fielding questions from newsmen on reasons for the tournament, the Chief Sponsor, MC Young Chief, reveals that he recognizes the strong support from some of his notable brothers like Chief Uchenna Okereike, Mr. Obinozie Chizube, Prince Iheagwu, Mr. Onyebuchi Okoh , Mr. Odinaka Achara and others.
He however observed that the idea is simply to put smiles on the faces of the good people of Akwakuma, Okporo within the yuletide period. Other benefits include, the physical health, mental health advantages and socio- economic development opportunities.
