The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern warning to staff of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), declaring that any worker who fails to report for duty on Wednesday, January 28, will face disciplinary action.

According to the minister, the directive is part of efforts to enforce discipline and ensure full commitment to duty among public servants within the FCT. He stressed that the administration would no longer tolerate absenteeism or disregard for official responsibilities.

Wike emphasized that government offices across the FCT are expected to function optimally, noting that consistent attendance by workers is essential for effective service delivery to residents of the nation’s capital. He added that monitoring mechanisms have been put in place to track attendance.

The minister further warned that defaulters would be “dealt with accordingly,” urging all FCTA staff to comply fully with the directive and avoid actions that could attract sanctions.
