For these tangible reasons, he appealed to the ADC leaders and members to give him the ticket to fly the party’s flag in the election.

The Ubaha Okigwe illustrious indigene who said he has indepth experience to effectively and fairly represent the people at the Assembly, urged his people, who he said spurred him into the contest, to fully back him to succeed.

Uwaegbute gave the assurance in an interview with journalists during the ADC State congress held at Kanu Nwankwo Square, in Owerri, last Saturday.

“I have been a grassroot person. I live in US. I come back two or three times every year to identify with my people whom I love and cherish and they love me too.

“Every festive season, they play my football tournament and winners of the Cup get cash reward and this competition unites them, as well as adds to their joy.

“I have built town hall in my community. I have also helped them in acquiring quality education – with many being on scholarship through my Scholarship Fund and I have been supporting many families financially to help them overcome their challenges.

“During the heat of COVID-19 lockdown, I gave food items to my people and other palliative to help them cushion effects of the pandemic. They are anxious that I come into politics to widen patriotism and selfless service.

“Now, I have heeded to their request and I believe I will win. You need to be in government to be able to expand the goodness of the community because people need to live healthy, comfortably and joyously.

“It is sad that theere is no light in Okigwe. If I’m given mandate, at the Assembly, I will attract infrastructure, restore electricity, work with relevant security outfits to sustain peace and development which I believe will thrive again.

“I hence advise the people to get registered with INEC, get their PVC, vote for me and other ADC candidates to enable our victory and continued success and joy”, Uwaegbute maintained.
