The indigenous people and aborigines of Mbara Egeruo Village in Ezihe Autonomous Community of Isiala Local Government Area of Imo State hereby disclaim and counter the unauthorized, false and malicious claim of one Apostle JohnKennedy Egbuogu made on Timeswatch Online News Magazine of Tuesday, the 23rd day of June, 2026 falsely claiming and parading himself as the Chairman of “Mbara Community” in Ezihe Autonomous Community Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State hailing the leadership of the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area for financially supporting the construction of “Mbara Health Centre Project”
The general public is put on appropriate notice that:

  1. Our village name is Mbara Egeruo and not “Mbara Community” Mbara Egeruo is our village established by our forefather Egeruo. Egeruo was the second son of Okpukpara or Nwohaka our ancestor.
  2. Nwohaka or Okpukpara begat three sons namely Achonu, Egeruo and Ezealaodugboro.
  3. Nwohaka or Okpukpara had three major vast lands known as Obinetiti land, Eziukwu land, Mbara land.
  4. Nwohaka or Okpukpara before his death, shared his estates to his three sons. He gave his first son Achonu Obinetiti land, he gave his second son Egeruo Mbara land and gave his last son Ezealaodugboro Eziukwu land.
  5. After the sharing about 400 years ago, Egeruo renamed his own land/inheritance “Mbara Egeruo” and established Mbara Egeruo village.
  6. He took his servants Nwahiri, Amakiri and his niece Chikezie and moved to his land, Mbara Egeruo village. He recognized and accepted them as his brothers, lived with them, they married and had children. Their children are now known as Nwahiri, Amakiri and Chikezie Kindred respectively in Mbara Egeruo.
  7. Egeruo Married and begat five sons namely Udenewu, Igbokwe, Uduku, Onuoha and Ugboaja.
  8. The five sons of Egeruo married and begat children and their children make up the first five original and indigenous kindreds of Mbara Egeruo namely Udenewu Kindred, Igbokwe Kindred, Uduku Kindred, Onuoha kindred and Ugboaja kindred
  9. The other three kindreds Nwahiri , Amakiri and Chikezie are recognized and accepted sons of Egeruo but are not immediate and direct descendants of Egeruo, Egeruo not being their biological father.
  10. The said Apostle JohnKennedy Egbuogu is not originally from Mbara Egeruo, he is not a descendant of Egeruo. He is from Offordim in Obinetiti.
  11. He is the son of Late Jack Dike from Offordim in Obinetiti in Ezihe Autonomous Community Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. His real name is JohnKennedy Dike but he changed his surname to “Egbuogu” as a resident and none indigene of Mbara Egeruo.
  12. His father, late Jack Dike was ostracized by his people of Offordim in Obinetiti so many years ago. He ran to Mbara Egeruo Village. At Mbara Egeruo Village, Late Mr. Christopher Nduaghusi a descendant of Egeruo from Uduku Kindred gave him a piece of land opposite Nkwo Okpor or Nkwo Personage Market Mbara Egeruo Village where he built two lock up stores in front of the land facing Nkwo Okpor Market Mbara Egeruo and two rooms at the back where he and his two wives lived, died and were buried.
  13. After his death, his son JohnKennedy Nnamdi Dike now answering “Apostle JohnKennedy Egbuogu” continued to live in Mbara Egeruo Village till date but made some improvements on the building by building more lockup stores in front of the land facing Nkwo Okpor or Nkwo Personage Market Mbara Egeruo Village and added more rooms at the back where himself and his family lives till date.
  14. It was based on this long history of. acceptance of his father in Mbara Egeruo in his search for safety and having lived with Mbara Egeruo people in peace before he died, that his son Apostle JohnKennedy Egbuogu and his family was also accepted and accommodated and he given opportunity to become the Chairman of Mbara Egeruo Town on the 5th day of May September, 2022 for a three year tenure that was supposed to officially end on the 5th day of September 2025 but was dissolved by Mbara Egeruo people in their meeting of 6th May, 2024 for his incompetence to lead Mbara Egeruo Town Union.
  15. Apostle JohnKennedy Egbuogu was incompetent to lead Mbara Egeruo Town Union as he failed to summon meetings, to coordinate and carry his other Excos members along which led to massive resignation of his Exco Members including Hon. Paul Igbokwe who resigned as his 1st Vice Chairman, Chima Egbumnu who resigned as his 2nd Vice Chairman, Chief Uwakwe Achonu Onuoha who resigned as his Public Relations Officer, Ugochukwu Onuoha who resigned as his Provost and Late Obinwa Igbokwe also resigned from his Executives.
  16. Apostle JohnKennedy not being a direct/descendant of Egeruo deceived few individuals in the village to change and attempted to forcefully change our village name from “Mbara Egeruo” to just “Mbara Village” so as to drop the name of our forefather just because him and other persons who are not direct descendants of Egeruo no longer wish to answer or be identified with the name of our forefather “Egeruo” while they are still insist to live in Mbara Egeruo, accommodated and recognized by the direct sons are descendants of Egeruo. He also allegedly deceived and coerced some direct descendants of Egeruo to go this part of dishonour with him and the directing descendants and children of Egeruo are vehemently opposed to it in any way and manner they want to carry it out.
  17. Apostle JohnKennedy Egbuogu while serving as the Chairman of Mbara Egeruo Town before vote of no confidence was passed on him and the dissolution of his tenure on the 5th day of May, 2024 had issues with 10 pieces of 8mm rods belonging to Mbara Egeruo Town Union for the construction of Mbara Egeruo Health Centre. 18. It was based on his misconducts as enumerated in paragraphs 11, 12,13 and 14 above that his tenure was dissolved on 6th May, 2024, Interim Government was set up on same day and fresh election conducted was on 29th day of August, 2024 wherein Hon. Paul Igbokwe and nine (9) other persons emerged as the current Executive Leadership of Mbara Egeruo Town Union till.
