President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated eight federal commissioners into the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the National Population Commission (NPC), reinforcing key government institutions responsible for fiscal management and population administration.
The swearing-in ceremony took place ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The appointments include two commissioners for the RMAFC and six for the NPC. The newly inaugurated officials bring a wealth of experience from various sectors, including law, public administration, academia, immigration, governance, and public service.
The new commissioners are expected to strengthen the capacity of both agencies in carrying out their constitutional mandates. While the RMAFC is responsible for revenue mobilisation, allocation, and fiscal oversight, the NPC plays a critical role in population data management, census planning, and demographic administration.
The appointments underscore the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening public institutions and enhancing effective governance through improved fiscal management and reliable population data for national planning and economic development.
