President Bola Tinubu has ordered security agencies to take urgent action to rescue 25 female students who were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School in Maga, Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to the presidency, the President has directed the police, the military, and other relevant security agencies to work together to ensure the safe return of the students. He expressed grave concern over the incident and called on security officials to act swiftly to apprehend the attackers.
The federal government also urged local authorities and community leaders to remain calm while security operations are ongoing. Efforts are being made to provide support and reassurance to the families of the abducted students.
Security sources indicate that a joint operation has been launched to track the kidnappers and secure the immediate release of the students. President Tinubu stressed that protecting the lives of students and safeguarding schools are key priorities for his administration.
