The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Imo State Council, has felicitated Governor Hope Uzodimma and members of the Congress on the 2025 Christmas celebration, bringing warm message of joy, peace and celebration that characterize the yuletide.
In a release signed by the TUC Chairman, Imo State Council, Comrd. Ibe Great Uchenna, and made available to this medium, the Congress in the state, expressed satisfaction with the achievements of Governor Uzodimma’s administration in the state, especially in improving the welfare of Imo workers.
The statement further extended appreciation to TUC members in Imo State for their productivity, resilience and commitments in their work places, saying that such have manifested in the progress achieved in the state and the Congress.
The release stated: “On behalf of the Leadership of the Trade Union Congress, Imo State Council, we extend warm Christmas felicitations to His Excellency, the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and to all esteemed members of TUC across the state.
Christmas is a sacred and meaningful season, one that reminds us of God’s boundless love for humanity, as He brought joy, hope, and redemption to the world through the birth of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. This season calls us to reflect on peace, unity, selflessness, and renewed faith, values that continue to guide our lives, leadership, and collective efforts.
As we reflect on the passing year, we sincerely commend His Excellency for his effective, people-centered, and progressive governance throughout 2025. His administration’s commitment to infrastructural development, improved security, workers’ welfare and inclusive policies has created a more enabling environment for economic growth and better life for the citizens.
These strides have positively impacted our members, especially through the recent review of salaries among others, and strengthened their confidence. As we look ahead, we are hopeful and optimistic that 2026 will usher in even greater achievements and expanded opportunities that will further uplift the people of Imo State.
We also proudly commend TUC members in Imo State for their unwavering commitment, unity, and dedication to our shared undertakings. Your discipline, cooperation, and resilience have contributed immensely to the progress, stability, and growth of our association, even in challenging times.
Together, we have demonstrated that collective efforts and mutual respect remain the backbone of a strong and prosperous association like ours with the mandate of championing the welfare of workers. As we look back at the gains of our engagements, be assured that we would do more towards achieving better working conditions for our members.
