The leaders and Stakeholders in Obowo local government area of Imo State has joyfully Commended the Chief Executive Officer for Evidence Consult ( Peace & Conflict Resolution, Human Resources Management and Business Development Consultant) Dr. Emma Amaefule for bringing to an end a serious land dispute case that has lasted for 18 years in court.
Speaking to our correspondent chief Christian Onyema expressed joy and commended Dr. Emma Amaefule the CEO for Evidence Consult for intervening in the case in court involving members of Umuojukwu kindred in Amarmuohia in Okwuohia Autonomous community in Obowo. Hence, described the outcome of the peaceful resolution as the evidence of God’s wisdom and also described Dr Emma Amaefule as a man on a mission to make significant impact for humanity.
Again, according to chief Christian Onyema he said, ” The challenge of the land dispute matter in Umuojukwu kindred attracted the attention of many people and we the leaders in Obowo particularly when the case continued to be in court for many years and as well as the failure of those who approached the matter with a view to resolve the conflict in Umuojukwu and restore peace in the kindred. In fact, is on record that the late traditional ruler of Okwuohia Autonomous community late Eze Mazi first handled the matter, then HRH Eze Chukwuemeka Uwajimogu also stepped in to handle the case with his cabinet executive but also failed to achieve the desired peace. Again, some organizations, the parish priests of St. Bridget Catholic church okwuohia Obowo also attempted to resolved the Umuojukwu land dispute which has taken millions and over stayed in court with regular sittings in Obowo customary court “.
He continued, “However, when we heard that the Evidence Consult has approached the Umuojukwu kindred as well as the parties in court, seeking to resolve their land dispute out of court and his boldness also in approaching the customary court in umuokeh Obowo, seeking to resolve the case which have been before the court for the past 18 years without judgment or justice. The chairman of the customary court in Obowo quickly approved the request of Evidence Consult with a mandate to handle the case for one month and report back to the customary court. But surprisingly to all including we the Stakeholders, the team of lawyers and the chairman of the customary court in Obowo, Evidence Consult peacefully resolved the case on four sittings and summited his judgment to the parties in court, the lawyers and to the chairman customary court. A conflict that has involved obowo police Command otoko and Zone 9 police command in Umuahia without peace as well as lasted for 18 years in customary court”- Chief Christian Onyema said.
In another development, chief Kelvin Uwalaka said, ” Indeed, when we heard about the peaceful resolution of the long land dispute case of Umuojukwu , we were happy but waited for a year to confirm the reality of the judgment delivered by the Evidence Consult. No doubt, a careful investigation made to Umuojukwu kindred and the Obowo customary court confirmed that the justice delivered and enforced by the Evidence Consult over the case of Umuojukwu in court was final and permanent”.
Again, Chief Kelvin Uwalaka maintained that the winner of the land dispute case Mr. Echefu Ojukwu and his senior brother Iche Ikechukwu Ojukwu assured that total peace has been restored in Umuojukwu kindred and the community.
